Review Policy
The World Review of Research and Innovation (WRRI) reviews every manuscript through a defined ten-stage procedure designed to keep its published work accurate and of high quality.
1. Submission
The author submits the manuscript, normally through the WRRI online system; email submissions are accepted only in exceptional cases.
2. Format Check
Editorial staff confirm that the manuscript follows the WRRI Author Guidelines in structure and presentation. Its scientific merit is not assessed at this point.
3. Editor-in-Chief's Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief judges whether the paper fits the journal's scope and is sufficiently original. Papers that do not meet this threshold may be declined without external review.
4. Handling Editor
If necessary, an Associate Editor with suitable expertise is assigned to manage the paper.
5. Reviewer Invitations
The handling editor approaches qualified reviewers and continues inviting until at least two have agreed to review.
6. Reviewer Acceptance
Each invitee considers their expertise, availability and any conflict of interest before accepting. Reviewers who decline are welcome to suggest colleagues.
7. Evaluation
Reviewers examine the paper in detail. Where they find fundamental problems they may recommend rejection early; otherwise they submit a full report recommending one of the following:
- Accept
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
8. Decision
The handling editor considers all reports together. Where reviewers strongly disagree, a further reviewer may be consulted.
9. Communication with the Author
The author receives the decision with the reviewers' comments. Under double-anonymous review, reviewers' names are never disclosed.
10. After the Decision
- Accepted papers proceed to copyediting and production.
- Papers needing revision are returned with clear guidance.
- Rejected papers are not reconsidered, and the author is told why.
A revised paper is normally sent back to the original reviewers; for small changes the handling editor may decide alone.
