Copyright

Authors who publish in the World Review of Research and Innovation (WRRI) keep full ownership of the copyright in their work.

Copyright Holder

Copyright remains with the authors. Neither WRRI nor its publisher, the IBEX Institute of Social Sciences Research & Development, asks authors to assign or transfer copyright.

Licence to Publish

On acceptance, authors grant WRRI a non-exclusive licence to publish the article first, and to reproduce, distribute, display, archive, index and promote it as part of the scholarly record. This licence does not change who owns the copyright.

What Authors May Do

  • post and share the published article anywhere;
  • deposit it in any repository;
  • use it for teaching, training and presentations;
  • include it in a thesis, dissertation or book;
  • build on it in later publications, citing WRRI as the original source; and
  • exercise every other right permitted by the CC BY licence and copyright law.

What Authors Must Ensure

Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission for any third-party material they reproduce, and for marking that material clearly where it is not covered by the article's licence. They must also make sure the work does not infringe the copyright, intellectual property or other rights of any person.

Copyright and Peer Review

Copyright arrangements have no bearing on how a manuscript is assessed; decisions rest only on academic merit and ethical compliance.

Copyright and Open Access

Because authors keep copyright and publish under an open licence, readers can use WRRI articles freely within the terms of the Licensing Policy.

Corrected or Retracted Articles

Corrections and retractions do not alter copyright ownership. WRRI may update the article record and issue notices under its Correction and Retraction Policy.
